On the topic of the shooting…
I don’t usually post things like this, but this particular shooting has me baffled. I am finding it a little difficult to track down detailed information on the event. This shooting is a particularly sensitive issue effecting individuals everywhere.
This event was a horrendous tragedy, one that, while not on this scale, is pretty much consistently happening in our country and the world. The world is full of endless amount and variations of violence and murder. Some of it based on resources, religion, politics, greed, or sometimes, no visible reason at all. I have no idea and have yet to find information on why this particular shooter did what he did, but it is alarming none the less.
This shooting, paired up with some of the more recent events, led me on a search for more information on mass shootings in America. I found this link:

Looking at events like these analytically all kinds of questions arise. Who, What, When, Where, How, and Why. Some of these are a little more difficult answer then others. Events like these are comprised of many variables. I neither have resources or training to effectively run these variables for study.
If I may add, neither do more journalists or media sources. There have been many instances of misreporting that have happened. This is unacceptable. So is some of the backlash. I am not condoning nor am I supporting the shooter at all, I am as outraged as anyone. But we have to keep perspective. We need to use this drive to accomplish something other than generic Facebook posts and propaganda.
Lives were lost. Memories were stolen. We must respond like the evolved and critically thinking beings we are. We need to stop and think before we act. How might this have been prevented? Did we know this was going to happen? What might the school have done differently? Did the shooter show signs? Right now, we have too man questions, not enough answers.
Is anyone even looking for the answers? I don’t know. I know there are a lot of decisions being made without them, though.
Well, Over reactions and emotional responses have won out.
Channels are pulling Dark Knight Trailers, some facilities are trying to stop Dark Knight Showings and they can’t put out costumes for the movie now. I understand this is a horrible tragedy, however, it is adding fuel to the fire. I made a post earlier about how we need to stop and think before reacting emotionally. It seems that moment has past.
